I can’t wait to hear about your project. To give you an idea of what I am currently looking for:

On the nonfiction side, I am always interested in creative narrative nonfiction in the areas of social and cultural history, popular science, big ideas, investigative journalism and unique perspectives on historical events, as well as journalism about social issues, identity, science, and place. I am also interested in braided cultural criticism, and the occasional memoir.

On the fiction side, I am most interested in adult literary fiction. I am drawn to writing that is voice and character driven, highly transporting and immersive, from unique perspectives, and underrepresented voices. I enjoy narratives of place, innovative ways of storytelling, and novels with a hint of magical realism. I am always looking for intimate stories that have the potential for a broader, more global resonance.
